Though Tae-eul finds Lee Gon’s story hard to believe, somethings about him are completely inexplicably. At work, she gets busy with a murder case.
Welcome, Welcome, Welcome back one and all. We pick up this episode where we left off last week with Gon telling Tae-eul that he’ll make her his wife/Queen and Tae-eul telling him he’s completely nuts. Gon takes her to the location of the gateway without his horse whip and the gateway did not appear. Making Tae-eul really convinced that he has a few screws lose in his head and convincing Gon that the whip is the only key to open the gateway. Tae-eul tells Gon that she’ll find out who he really is once his DNA test result comes out, to which Gon replies that she will not find anything and even if she finds anyone that shares his DNA, they won’t be his family because his parents died when he was 8. Back in Tae-eul’s house, Shin-jae was waiting for Tae-eul to come home when he goes over to Maximus and notices the royal crest on the saddle and sees it’s the same thing he’s been drawing in his note.
In the kingdom of Corea, Someone new starts working at the palace and basically, her job is to make sure the people believes that the king is holed up in his office through social media. When Goo Seo-ryung (the prime minister) sees one o the post, she does not believe he’s actually in his study. She believes he’ ran away again.

Back in Korea, a new tae-eul’s team gets a new team member called Jang Michael but apparently, his friends calls him Jangmi and together they went looking for the murder weapon from the last episode. They finally found it after searching for a long time and when they tested the weapon, they found the victims DNA and that of the murderer and just when everyone was celebrating about another case closed, Tae-eul points out that it’s a bit too easy, like everything was laid or them.
Shin-jae went to see a gangster who tried to bribe him and all he’s asking in return is to give them a heads up when the cops are coming to raid his hangout. Shin-jae did not like that and when asks why he’s turning down so much money, he says someone once told him to become someone standing at the edge of the wrong path. Flash back to when he was a teenager working for Tae-eul’s father in his dojo. Shin-jae yelled at the kids because they weren’t listening to him and Tae-eul’s father tells him he can’t teach anymore because the kids are scared of him and Shin-jae tells him if he can’t teach, he’ll have to join a gang that’s when Tae-euls father tells him to become someone standing at the edge of the wrong path and gives him a police exam book.
Back in the Kingdom of Corea, Head of the court lady and some other people were having a meeting, trying to figure out how to make the people of Corea to stop talking about the kings absent Myeong Seung-ah asked Jo Yeong for his phone then found a photo of him and Gon together in their military uniform and posted it online.

Head of the court lady Noh called Jo Young and tells him to find the woman on the police ID but he tells her the king already asked him to do that three years ago but came up empty. Shin-jae goes into Gon’s study to try and find out where his friend is when he remembers a conversation he had with Gon about Lee Rim’s autopsy after he was found. Gon believes that’s not lee shim’s body even though the fingerprint and the DNA matched and that he’s still alive somewhere.
Back in Korea, while in his hotel room, Gon feels a searing pain on his shoulder then some markings shows up on him

Back in the kingdom of Corea, the prime minister Goo Seo-ryung goes to visit her mother who sells fish at the fish market, when she noticed an umbrella. When she asked who it belongs to, her mother says a customer forgot it there and might come back for it later. Lee shim comes back to the kingdom of Corea and we see him walking with an umbrella identical to the one left at Goo Seo-ryung’s mother’s shop.

Back in Korea, Tae-eul’s car breaks down on the road and asked Gon to come and stay with the car untl the repairman gets there while she runs an errand. While taking to Tae-eul, everything suddenly stops except for Gon who can still move around and just like that, everything starts up again. when he asks Tae-eul if she noticed that the time stopped, she said no, which makes him believe it’s the side effect of using the gateway.
Back in the Kingdom of Corea, Lee Rim goes to a bookstore, picks out a book and opens it to find a note that reads “THE KING LEFT THE PALACE” inside then a man comes to him, bows and calls him your highness. Turns out lee-shim has been going back and forth between both worlds and recruiting people in Corea for some time

Back in Korea, Gon goes back to the location of the gateway but this time, he brings his whip with him which opens the door and he says he should have realized that Manpasikjeok was the key and that Lee shim has the other half and that he’s probably alive and moving back and forth from the two parallel worlds. Tae-eul and Shin-jae goes to the murder victim Lee Sang-do’s hardware store, only to find it trash and his wife is not there but they found a small flip phone and takes that as evidence. As they were about to leave, some gangsters that shin-jae put away years ago shows up and so did Gon who says he just wants to watch but later joined the fight. After the fight, they all went to eat and Gon tells Tae-eul he’s going back to his world. Shin-jae takes Gon to Maximus while Tae-eul goes back to the station. Shin-jae asked Gon who made the crest on the saddle because he’s seen it before but Gon says he doesn’t know. Tae-eul comes home from shopping to find Maximus is gone and the episode ends with Gon and Maximus running through the gateway.
