Gon insists he’s a king from another world but the incredulous Tae-eul did not believe him and took him to the police station. When asked about his name, Gon refuses to give it so Tae-eul decides to call him Kim Gae-ddong meaning dog poop. And when they checked his finger print on the database, they couldn’t find any. While at the police station, Korea’s version of Jo young came in but his name is Jo Eun-seob and he’s a friend of Tae-eul. After taking Gon’s DNA, Tae-eul sends it away for analysis and releases Gon in the mean time. With having nowhere to go, Gon sells one of the buttons on his jacket and gets a suite in a hotel.
Back in Corea, the head of the court lady was looking for Gon and decided to tell the everyone that he’s locked in his room solving a math problem, while Jo young and the rest of the palace guards look in the forest where Gon was last seen but came up empty. Jo young went to the police station to question the men that disrupted the rowing competion about the rabbit and they tells him that her name is and they tells him that no one actually knows what her name is or what she looks like but people calls her Luna. The prime minister of the kingdome of Corea fancies herself somewhat of a future queen and seems like she’ll do just about anything to get it.
Back in Korea, Tae-eul finds out the identity of the dead man in the trunk and identifies him as Lee Sang-do. Tae-eul went to question his wife in their hardware store and brought Kang Shin-jae one of her team members with her. While Tae-eul was questioning the wife, Shin-jae went inside the store and found a bunch of crowbars under a tarp and the wife let them know that her husband was a gambler in debt and he carrries two phones and owes a lot of people money hasn’t seen him for three weeks after he stormed out of the house after a fight which is not unusual.
Lee Gon decided to go clothes shopping and sells the rest of his buttons and sends his horse to Tae-eul’s house, which she is not happy about. Lee-Gon confirms his believe that he is indeed in a parralel world after seeing a childhood photo of Eun-seob.
A little boy in a wheelchair was having a birthday party with his three friends at a restaurant and his friends decided to play a prank on him by giving him a football as a present, which made him cried and he rushed to the bathroom while his mum cried alone in the restaurant. Lee-Rim showed up and asked what the mother was praying for? she said she was praying the her son can walk again and he tells her that prayer will not be answered and it would be a proper use of prayer if she prays that those kids would be injured and we later hear on the news that the three kids were in an accident and doesn’t seem they will ever recover from it. we see Koreas verson of Lee-Gon’s mother buying flowers for her dead son before laying it down on a grave that says Lee Ji-hun
When Tae-eul quentionsm Kim Bok-man about the death of Lee Sang-do, he claimed he knows nothing about it. He said someone whacked him in the head from behind when he got home from a bar one night and when they checked the CCTV footage, it shows that Lee Sang-do followed Bok-man from the bar to he front of his house on the night he was last seen. At the station, Tae-eul and her team goes over the evidence board and wonders how the owner of an hardware store and an ordinary ordinary man find Bok-man’s phone number and address and why would he hire a private detective when hes so much in debt?
While Gon is talking to Tae-eul at a restaurant, he remembers a conversation he had with the head of the court lady sometime after the incident when he was a kid. He tells her that that night, he heard the sound of a flute. It was so loud that it drowns ever other sounds and that’s why he went there that night. He asked her if it was the sound of Manpasikjeok but she tells him no and that the flute makes no sound. He says he doesn’t believe it and that he definitely heard the sound of the flute. He said he held on to two things that night and wonders if one(meaning the half of the flute he picked up) of them has been made into a horse whip and whether or not she kept the other item as well. The head court lady shows him the whip and Tae-eul’s ID and she gave him both of them.
Back in the Kingdom of Corea, still looking for Gon, Jo-Young went back to where he found him after chasing the rabbit the last time and sees someone wearing a rabbit hoodie pass by. After chasing him, the boy tells him it’s part of their school uniform and you can buy it on the school website. sooo, dead end. Jo-young goes looking for a lady that was taking lots of photos on the day of the rowing competition and asked her to send all the photos to his email. In Korea, Gon goes to see his horse Maximus in Tae-eul’s house and was met there by Shin-Jae who takes Gon’s picture as his mug shot and Gon covered Shin-Jae’s heas with his hoodie saying just in case you are my savior. I wish you weren’t and you aren’t. After Shin-jae left, Tae-eul leaves the house to follow him only to see Gon standing outside hoping to hang out with Tael-eul who just buffed him off and left but decided to come back. When she asks him why he’s still standing there? He says shes the only one he asctually knows in this world to which she replies, you act like you know me, but i don’t know you. How do you know me? to which he tells her he acquired her ID card 25 years ago, to be precise, someone lost it. Tae-eul tells him to go to his family, he says he’s gonna make her someone who can know him better. He’s gonna make her his wife. His Queen.
Thats where episode 2 ends. The drama is captivating so far and i am loving the chemistry between the leads. Makes it all the more better and the writing is just incredible.
SIDE NOTE: I don’t think Tae-eul was the mystery shooter. The height and posture are that of a man. I think, (don’t quote me on this) it’s Shin-Jae. But why would he have Tae-euls police ID? Questions, Questions.
